THERAPY LASER

NON-INVASIVE PAIN REDUCTION

Laser therapy is a non-invasive FDA-cleared modality that helps to reduce inflammation, which ultimately decreases pain. Laser therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-operative pain. In some cases it may be an alternative to taking pain relieving drugs and can help avoid surgery.

HOW DOES LASER THERAPY WORK?

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation (PBM). During PBM, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome C complex within mitochondria. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, decrease in pain, reduction in muscle spasms, and improved microcirculation to injured tissue.
